Our Story

Kdam Kampot sits on the riverside road in Krong Kampot, where fresh catch meets world-famous Kampot peppercorns. Every dish is built on local sourcing — the same waters and soil that made this province famous. Crushed green pepper, roasted garlic and lime in the air, lanterns overhead, and the river doing the rest.
Crab, squid and river prawns bought fresh, cooked the same day — never frozen and forgotten.
Brined green peppercorns from the farms up the road. You'll smell them before the plate lands.
Families, friends, solo travellers — pull up a cushion and stay as long as the sunset lasts.
Free Wi-Fi, string lights, soft Khmer acoustic music and a breeze off the water.

In our kitchen
Our kitchen shops the market in the morning and cooks to order all day — pork rice and porridge for early risers, crab and squid for the sunset crowd. Nothing fussy, nothing hidden behind sauce: just good local produce handled with care.

Signature
The crab comes in from the gulf and the green peppercorns from the farms just up the road. We brine the pepper ourselves so it stays fresh and citrusy, and serve it with a spicy Koh Kong dipping sauce on the side.
Signature
Squid bought the same morning, flash-fried hot and fast so it stays tender. The house glaze is built on Kampot green pepper, garlic and a squeeze of lime — nothing else needed.
Signature
A Khmer classic every family here grew up on: black pepper beef, crisp fries and a fried egg. We keep the pepper sauce sharp and unsweet, the way it's cooked at home.
Signature
Seasonal river prawns trucked in from Takeo while they're still at their sweetest. Grilled over charcoal and brushed with palm sugar until the shells caramelise.

The pepper crab fried rice is the real thing — you can taste the fresh green peppercorns. We stayed for the sunset and ordered a second round.
Best spot on the riverside road. Grilled river prawns, cold beer, view of the old bridge. Prices are honest too.
Came for breakfast, bai sach chrouk with a fried egg. Cooked properly, served fast, and the staff treat you like family.
We booked a deck table for sunset and it was the highlight of our Kampot trip. The squid with Kampot pepper is a must.
